Benefits of Permanent Cosmetics

Micropigmentation, or permanent cosmetics, gives you the look you want around-the-clock. Unlike other cosmetic procedures, permanent cosmetic procedures are not painful and have very little downtime. Also called intradermal pigmentation, permanent cosmetics is a revolutionary method of applying natural pigments into the skin’s dermal layer. Depending on the results, it may take an additional 1-2 treatment sessions to achieve desired effects. There are many benefits to having permanent cosmetics.

Number 1: Achieve a Soft, Natural Enhancement to the Appearance

Permanent cosmetics is for young, middle-aged, or older women. Anyone who desires a soft, natural look can enhance their appearance with permanent cosmetics.

Number 2: Don’t have to Put on Makeup

Many women have allergies and sensitivities to cosmetic makeup products. Because permanent cosmetics are always there, it eliminates the need of wearing makeup. Intradermal cosmetics are great for women with vision impairments or those who suffer from degenerative joint arthritis that affects makeup application.

Number 3: Won’t Run, Smear, or Fade Off

Active women who play sports or exercise can sweat off their cosmetics. In addition, when you go swimming or work long hours, your makeup disappears. With micropigmentation, you always have makeup on, and you don’t have to worry about embarrassing smears or fading.

Number 4: The Results are Permanent

Permanent makeup procedures are considered permanent because the pigment (color) is implanted into the upper reticular portion of the dermis skin. It cannot be washed off. Over time, some fading will occur, so periodic maintenance and color re-freshing is necessary. However, you can expect to have your permanent cosmetics for years to come.

Number 5: Increase your Confidence

With micropigmentation, you accentuate your facial features by adding expression to the eyes, definition to the eyebrows, and fullness to the lips. You will enjoy lip color that complements your skin and hair color, and have a waterproof eyeliner on at all times. The overall effects of the permanent cosmetics are sure to increase your confidence.

Number 6: Correct Asymmetry and Imperfections

Whether you have a scar or a cleft lift, permanent cosmetics can be used to correct facial asymmetry. In addition to adding color to the lips, micropigmentation can fill in for eyebrow hair loss.

Number 7: Enhance and Give Definition to Sparse or Light Lashes

Permanent eyeliner is applied inside the lash line to enhance sparse lashes. In addition, adding color gives more definition to light or faded lashes. It’s great for contact lens wearers. Permanent eyeliner is often called lash enhancement because it makes the lashes look longer and fuller.

Number 8: Frame the Face

Permanent eyebrows will draw attention to the cheek bones and frame the face. This procedure also can give the eyes a lift, making you look younger and more awake.

The Permanent Makeup Procedure

The permanent cosmetic procedure involves the use of a rotary machine and disposable needle cartridge to deposit pigment into the epidermis and dermis. After your initial consultation with the certified permanent cosmetic professional, the technician positions you on the procedure table. Depending on the procedure, the technician draws on eyebrows, the lip line, and/or the eyeliner. After numbing cream is applied for 20 minutes, the technician uses a hand-held device to tattoo the pigment into the area.
